I never posted anything other than cool songs, but this is one thing that I can't keep myself from telling.
50,000 visits a day, 100 million page views a year, the numbers seemed great when some one logged in his analystics account (website visitors counter) to see them, now they show 0,000 visitors. Yes it's true and I am not exaggerating anything. Proof is that the blog touched Alexa Rank of 6000 in the past, with a blog worth of almost 2 hundred thousand American dollars (Checkout). But now what, nothing!!
Statistically it was the was the 10th most visited blogspot hosted blog in the whole world, and the first in the India (read more). One day (2nd June) he wakes up, finishes his breakfast and goes to blogger to see his comments. And GONE! He does not even find a corpse of his removed blog. It was the great downloadhindisongs.blogspot.com and now it is a bull@#$% message. (read more in his own words.)
This all happened without a single warning, which is what also frustrates me like hell! Well blogger did not expect this from you! Technically it is said that Blogger gives a message on the dashboard (my fellow bloggers will know what is dashboard??) and time period of 20 days before it deletes a blog. Nothing like this happened.
This month he completed three beautiful years of his magnificent work. He was mostly in first position in google searches, even ahead of privately hosted sites. It was the hard work, accuracy and the trust of others that let him to that impossible position. And what a pleasant gift from google groups, thanks!.
One of the best blog that I ever saw, to tell the truth it was truly a blog, not like thousands or even millions of other crappy blogs that are just made to make money. It was different, had a great community revolving around itself. Hundreds of comments each day, with each manually reviewed and answered by only ONE person DJ! (55000 profile views, till now).
If you never visited this blog, you really missed something! It is where I got my inspiration. I learned a lot of thinks from it (yet to learn a lot of things though), I just started blogging 2 months ago and this has really shaken me!! It's not fair that whenever google blogger feels, it deletes them without even allowing to backup. This is insane.
I want this to be read by more people, but I don't get a lot of visitors (new blog, buddies), so please share this or digg this. And if possible tell me what to do you feel about this??
I wrote this post as a tribute to DJ! I don't know what to hope or what to wish him. His current situation cannot be easily imagined. Hope he gets this!
